Endeavour India - Delhi & Himalayas
27th March to 6th April 2024

Endeavour India:
Contact us for your own bespoke corporate adventure.
Endeavour India is a multi stage 4 day trek in the Indian Himalayas, sandwiched within a 10 day adventure of sightseeing and visits to our charities, and immersion in Indian Culture. We can tailor an adventure to suit you, but our Endeavour India gives a flavour of what we do:
From the melee of New Delhi to the colonial majesty of your hotel; the famous Indian railways that will transport you from Delhi to McLeod Ganj where your mountain adventure will begin.
The Itinerary
Day 1 Delhi - 27th March 2024

Adventurers arrive at Delhi Airport from various destinations and are met by Race Staff before being transferred to your Hotel.
The rest of the day is free and easy to relax in the splendour of one of Delhi's most historic hotels or to take in some of the sights and sounds of the city's chaotic streets.
An informal cocktail party in the evening at the Hotel will be followed by dinner.

Day 2 Delhi - 28th March 2024
A (very) early start for a guided bicycle adventure tour of old Delhi as the city awakes, topped off with breakfast of steaming hot chai and curry! It is a busy day with a visit to Shiksha Rath slum academy and a unique tour of the slums. Shiksha Rath, one of our chosen charities, is a highly-focused, long-term initiative providing after-school classes, nutritious meals and health care to some of Delhi's poorest children through a ground-breaking slum academy.
A chilled evening by the pool and dinner at the Maidens.

Day 3 to 4 Mcleod Ganj - 29th to 30th March 2024
We take an early flight to Dharamshala and head to Mcleod Ganj and check in to the Hotel. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, some downtime, and a chance to acclimatise to the altitude. An acclimatisation walk, a little 'beasting;' and sightseeing in the Kanga Valley, as well as a little 'Adrenalin Challenge.'...after all, this is an Endeavour event!

Day 5 to 8 - 31st March to 3rd April 2024
The Indian Endeavour – starting by bike from Mcleod Ganj (Dalai Lama's residence) Over the next few days we trek though beautiful Himalayan pine forests and pass tribal villages with a gradual ascent up old pastoral routes of the Ghaddi shepherds.

We camp by the  snow-fed River Liyund and pick up our porters and mules. We throw in a few surprise Endeavour challenges, as the trail continues through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and pine, with steep ascents towards Kareri Lake.

Day 3 of the trek gives a challenging ascent towards the Minikiani Pass (4,268m) (weather permitting) using specialist equipment if required, before returning to Kareri Lake. (A steady day due to the altitude.)
We finish the trek with a knee-jarring descent from the snow fields and through woodlands towards Bugga Valley and past several villages ending back at the Dalai Lama's residence after a long and satisfying day - ready for celebratory drinks and dinner.

Day 9 - 4th April 2024
Time to relax and chat and enjoy the serenity of McLeod Ganj, shop, wash, relax and enjoy the view.
Evening dinner and celebratory drinks with our local support team.

Day 10 - 5th April 2024
Return to Delhi by flight and enjoy the Maidens’ splendour - relax by the pool, or venture into the streets of Delhi.
Celebrations, final dinner and awards ceremony.

Day 11 - 6th April 2024
Flights home at various times during the day, enjoying Hotel until departure.
Why is Endeavour India different from other adventure trips? It's a “cake” of adventure:
‘Mix your ingredients of expert adventure planners, local knowledge, beautiful terrain and the wonder of India. Season the mix with mental and physical team building, beasting and survival training. Then turn up the heat, to create a four day adventure trekwith a theme that Indiana Jones and Lara Croft would be envious of. Serve with all the trimmings of the Raj and the spirit of Dalai Lama.’
